For many people the main attraction of the Burren is its flora, in particular the Arctic and Mediterranean flowers which grow side by side on the limestone pavement. For others spotting the large herds of feral goats freely roaming the landscape is special. The birds, mammals, invertebrates, algae and plants that live here with humans form the web of life that is the ecology of the Burren and we must understand it to be able to adequately protect it.
In this section we provide published articles relating to the Ecology of the Burren.
